 Determining Softball League Age
The age cut-off date for softball is December 31 for all divisions except
Stars. The age cut-off for Stars is April 30.
A player's League Age is her chronological age on December 31. For example,
if a player turns 10 on December 15, she would be considered league age 10,
since she is 10 on December 31. If she turns 10 on January 15, she would be
considered league age 9, since she is 9 on December 31.

Softball Division Descriptions
| Stars Age 7-8
|

For players age 7 and 8 with little or no experience in T-Ball or Coach
Pitch and players with up to three years of experience. Players
begin to learn the basic fundamentals of
softball. Machine pitch with a softer-than-usual ball. The diamond
is 50 feet, and the pitching mound is 35 feet. Play consists of
four innings or 90 minutes, whichever comes first. Score is kept in
the interest of teaching sportsmanship in winning and losing situations. Players are assigned to teams with their schoolmates. The regular
season includes games with teams from within the same division. No
standings are kept. Each player receives a softball jersey, visor, and a trophy. |

game of softball. Players pitch with a regulation baseball. The diamond
is 60 feet and the pitching mound is 35 feet. Leadoffs and base stealing
are not permitted. Team coaches draft first year Mustang players based on
Skills Assessment results. The regular season includes games with teams
from within the same division. Each player receives a full
softball uniform. |

players to the full game of softball. Players pitch with a regulation
baseball. The diamond is 60 feet and the pitching mound is

regular season includes games with teams from within the same division.
Each player receives a full softball uniform. |
